August 12 -- The Choice -- Kraków

The Choice

When we are confronted with Christianity we are faced with a choice.

The most frequently chosen option is to keep living a self-centered life and do nothing.
Narcissism is the world's most popular religion.

The second most common choice is a religious response.
In this we believe ourselves entitled to enter heaven and to have God's help with whatever we ask.

The narrow way that few choose is intimate relationship with Jesus.
Here Jesus empowers us to be sons who delight Father and walk with Him continuously.

Father has already completed all the works that need to be done.
As we walk through those works with Him we remain in His rest.

When we put this in words it sounds complex.
In Truth, it is as simple as a child running across a meadow holding Papa's hand.

An old song said it well:
"We keep falling in love with Him,
Over and over and over again !"

His, thus Yours,
  Stuart

Stuart, as He changes our hearts from our new birth onward, I wonder how much "our choice", as in that which proceeds from "our initiative" effects anything in our maturing into His image and likeness. It seems more like He has made all my "choices" His from the inside out as a result of His nature within me.

LarryD, I think that is because you engage with Him and let Him. You desire it and He gives it. You allow Him to implant you with desire and then fan the flames. Your heart actively wants it. Not everyone's does, and not all the time. We absolutely have the choice to ignore it or squelch it.

treesablaze,
It seems that this disagreement on who, or Who, made the choice has been going on since the beginning. I am happy that you are His.
